Course Overview:
This 8 hour course will provide a high level presentation on the Keys to Deepwater Project Management Success. The importance of technology development and the up front planning and execution of agreed processes is emphasized, as well as the necessary requirements for informed and even courageous leadership in addition to high quality management throughout the effort. The course will emphasize six Keys—
• Technology Assessment and Management,
• Project Planning and Execution Processes,
• Relationship Management,
• Understanding and Controlling Risk,
• Controlling (not Monitoring) Cost, Schedule , Quality and Safety
• Leadership which effectively deals with ambiguities, opportunities, relationships, inter and intra company issues and the general unpredictability of people under stress.

 The instructor will provide real world examples from his 40 plus years of experience as an Offshore Project Engineer, Project Manager and Program Manager.
 The attendees will receive a three ring binder with copies of the presentation graphics, and a certificate of attendance from ASME.  Attendees receive 8 PDHs.

Cancellation / Refunds:
Cancellations made through October 30, 2009 will receive a refund, less the non-refundable administrative fee of $200.  Refunds are not available after October 30, 2009.  Substitutions for individuals enrolled may be made at any time.

ASME-IPTI reserves the right to cancel a course if enrollment is insufficient to ensure maximum effectiveness.  This decision is made approximately two weeks before the course begins.  If this occurs, enrollees will receive a full refund or be given the opportunity to transfer to another course date.  Keep our cancellation policy in mind when making airline reserations, as ASME-IPTI cannot be responsible for fees charged for canceling  your airline ticket.  Students are responsible for handling all travel arrangements and the costs associated with their travel.
