In addition to the ASME-IPTI Petroleum Division scholarships and internships, ASME sponsors several other educational and fun-filled activities designed to give you the competitive
advantage and to support your life-long learning. among them
are regional student conferences (hosted by a different school in the region every year) where student sections discuss various topics as well as participate in design, technical, and writing competitions.

The Student Design Competition challenges teams of up to four students to design, construct and operate a prototype, meeting the requirements of an annually determined problem statement.
